1993 is the seventh studio album by American singer Ariana Grande, released on March 18, 2022.
Background and Conception[]
On August 3, 2021, Grande tweeted "album seven is done", confirming that the seventh album was finished. In the same tweet, Grande also confirmed that there would be a tour to promote the album and that she knew when the album would be released. Later, it was confirmed that the album had been completed on July 20, 2021. When asked by a fan if she could release the album herself, she stated that "there's too much fun to be had from now to then."
On February 20, 2022, Grande officially announced her seventh studio album "1993". It was released on March 18, 2022.
1993 Tour[]
On March 9, 2022, Grande announced the 1993 World Tour in support of 1993 as well as her sixth studio album, Positions. The tour began on May 22, 2022, in Albany, New York, and is set to end on December 21, 2022, in Inglewood, California.
